Thanksgiving

We had the wonderful privilege to visit Central Oregon where parts of Gina's family live. The movie sums up what we did over the two days (Wednesday and Saturday were travel days). We can't thank Grandpa and Grandma enough for their hospitality, especially Grandma for her had work on the delicious food!

Growing up

Rolling Over

Baths

Eating

Sitting up

Saturday morning (I remember all of us kids would climb into bed with mom and dad, but before long they were out and it was just us until someone said "last one out makes the bed")

Outdoors

Brennan is defiantly taking after his cousins, in that he loves to be outside. We go on walks, hikes or even just sitting out on the porch at night during his cranky hours. I made sure we had both a stroller and a backpack so we could go anywhere with him and luckily he loves both!!!

We found his new favorite spot, at the park in a swing!!!!

Halloween

There was a family in our old ward who has a boy a year older than Brennan and last year he dressed up as a bee. Luckily they returned from being out of town the night before Halloween so we could barrow the costume. The best part is, it is for a dog! We decided to visit friends from this ward so we went to their "Trunk - R - Treat". Taylor and I were on the activities committee in that ward so we helped plan it last year. The activities chair and I were pregnant together so here are the bugs together. Her mom calls Brennan, her boyfriend.
We then went to visit friends we met at our birthing class (their daughters is 3 weeks older than Brennan) whom we haven't seen for months. We weren't expecting to stay long but they wanted to take their daughter to some neighbors house to tick - or - treat and left us to answer the door. When they got back dinner was ready so we eat some amazing chili. Funny part is he is a cop so decided to wear his gun that night but didn't realize that every time he reached for the bowl of candy by the door, it showed. We were laughing but he did have a good point "I am opening the door to strangers in masks". On Monday when Taylor got to work he found out that a co-worker's house was broken into on Halloween and she was up stairs. It's harder and harder to trust people when things like that happen.
We forgot our camera so we made another visit, but as you can see Brennan wasn't at all disappointed to see his other girlfriend again!!!!

Labor Day

There has been a lot I have missed. Over Labor day weekend Brennan and I made a trip to AZ for a week. While we were there a lot took place in for the Skinner family.

Starting on Wednesday (9/2/09):
Being escorted to Flagstaff from the airport.

Thursday (9/3/09):
Staying with the Clouses

The 3 Stuges (Brennan (5/24/09), Rhett (5/21/09) and Jackson 2/24/09)): This is the first time all 3 of them have been together. In the year 2009 there will be 5 new grandkids added to the Skinner Family (Kelsy had Bristol 9/24/09 and Faith is due in December). That is a grand total of 14 by the end of the year!!!!!

Friday (9/4/09):
Dinner with Jo's in-laws

Brad's football game
(he ran out the "F" flag that my mom made in 1998, but I can't figure out how to get our videos on the blog)

Helping Sara finish the skirts (Sara was trying to see how many nights she could go to bed at midnight) It is tradition on my family for the girls to wear matching dresses or skirts. Sara found a simple skirt pattern online which was 4 rectangles. Of course the little girls need to match as well so she added straps and made dresses. Yes, Sara is SUPER MOM, SISTER, WIFE ...!!!!!!

Saturday (9/5909):
The Schmitt wedding (Jo and Jason)

The reception

Sunday (9/6/09):
Brad's Eagle Scout Court of Honor

Monday (9/7/09):Labor Day
Swimming with the Clouses

Wednesday (9/9/09):
The ride to the airport

One little monkey

He has done this since he was 6 weeks old but I am just now getting it documented! The first time I thought was just by accident because I set him on his stomach and walked into the kitchen to put some dishes away and when I came back he was on his back. I asked Taylor if he had flipped him over but that was a negative, so I put him on his stomach again, watching closely this time! He did it again!!!! Mornings are his happy time so every morning he and I would play, getting 3 rolls out of him before he was tired. Since we have moved and there are more people around he learned that if he cried they would flip him over so he stopped liking his stomach, but as you can see he is back to being happy and playing on his stomach. It won't be long before I am chasing him around!
